			<title>Nitro Turkey Thanksgiving Run 5K/10K</title>
			<link>http://runnersweb.mhsoftware.com/ViewItem.html?cal_item_id=354&amp;dtwhen=2455162</link>
<description>It is a little-known fact that the Native Americans first introduced the Pilgrims to the wonderful world of trail running. So what better way to demonstrate our thanks than to run the trail in their honor? Besides, it makes more room for your dinner and less guilt for the morning after!
Point Pinole Regional Shoreline Park features sweeping views of the bay, with easy firetrails that hug the shoreline and take you through eucalyptus groves. The course includes only a couple of very mild hills.
For the kids under 10, we will have a Little Turkeys race (100 yard dash) where children can race against our special guest, Nitro Turkey! The Little Turkeys Race includes a special medal to all participants and is free for all children of registered runners.
Thanksgiving costumes are highly encouraged!
Walkers/Hikers are welcome!</description>
